Finding and listening the forgotten sound in our city

每天的你遊走於繁忙的城市裡，聲音的印象也許只有鬧鐘聲、電話鈴聲和地鐵車箱內的廣播聲……生活從來不易。城市裡的街道里巷，人來人往，沒有一刻停下來的機會，我城的呼吸聲被忽略了或許就沒有然後……

如果有一次重新認識城市聲音的機會，來一場似真似幻的對話，你又會記起那些被遺忘的聲音嗎？

聲音藝術家李穎姍與拓展公共空間將在「點子遊花園：耳王十四一心」聲音體驗中與參加者一起帶著慢活節奏，讓耳朵成為我們和城市溝通的橋樑，來一次不一樣的約會，打開大家對日常的重新想象。首個聲音體驗已於本月初率先舉行，有興趣參加的朋友切勿錯過今個週日和來年一月尾舉辦的另外兩場聲景體驗 — 齊來用耳朵重塑我們對我城的印象！

Life is never easy. Living in the hustling and bustling city, the sound which we can remember may only be the alarm clock, the mobile ringtone and the broadcasting in metro stations. People living in such a city may be too busy to recognise their relationship with the surroundings, and tend to turn a deaf ear to the sound in the cityscape.

If there is a chance to re-recognise and structure a dialogue with sound in the city, will you be able to recall any forgotten sound?

Co-orgainsed by sound artist Fiona Lee and Hong Kong Public Space Initiative, “Take PARK in Art: Sound of Happy Valley” will lead participants through a slow, leisurely journey, using “sound” as a communicative medium to learn about the cityscape and be open for any re-imaginations about their daily lives. The first activity of this creative placemaking event has been launched earlier this month, do not miss the chance if you are interested in joining the other two sound explorations which will be organised this coming Sunday and late January 2019 — Let’s learn to shape the impression of our city with your ears!
